Eric grew up in Lake Geneva and Delavan.  He joined the Army in 2004 as a 13B, Cannon Crewmember.  He has been stationed in Germany (Giessen and Vilseck), Fort Campbell KY, and Fort Hood TX.  He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant and served for 13 years.

 

Of those years, he was deployed to Iraq twice and Afghanistan twice.  While deployed he had both artillery missions as well as infantry missions.  In Iraq he has been to Tal Afar, Ramadi, and Baghdad. While in Afghanistan, he has been to the Arghandab River Valley.

 

The units he served in are 2/3 FA 1st Armored Division, 1-320th FAR 101st Airborne Division, and Fires Squadron 3rd Calvary Regiment.

 

He joined the post 10173 in March of 2026 but has been a part of the VFW since 2019.
